Danny Heath goes on to the USHL

PF Changs Defenseman Danny Heath joins Tri Cities Storm in the USHL for the remainder of the 2007-08 season.  With the opportunity to coach Danny Heath for the past six seasons PF Changs Head Coach/Director Jim Johnson doesn't waver when he says that Heath, a member of the P.F. Chang's U18 AAA squad, is one of the best young defensemen in the country. Heath, a sixth-round selection by the Tri-City Storm in the 2006 USHL Futures draft, is set for the next stage of his career as a top-flight defenseman, committing last month to play NCAA Division I college hockey for Minnesota State University-Mankato. Coach Johnson said that Danny will be an outstanding collegiate hockey player; he has an innate ability to find open ice offensively. He will be a great addition to the Minnesota State hockey program.  Danny is going to be missed on the ice and in the locker-room said Jim Johnson, but he is ready compete for quality time at the USHL level and will be an great asset to the Storm for the second half of the season”.  Heath scored two goals in has first 3 games with Tri-Cities Storm.
