John Murray and Michael Colantone have a mission this weekend. After falling a game short of nationals last year, the two captains of the Arizona-based PF Chang’s 16-Under squad are determined to get their team past the Rocky Mountain District Championship Tournament and into nationals next month.
Thursday, PF Chang’s took the first step when Ryan Francis scored a power-play goal with 7:21 left in the third period to give PF Chang’s a 5-4 win over the Dallas Alliance Bulldogs in Centennial, Colo.
It was a little redemption against a team that knocked them out of the national tourney last year. We’ve always been big rivals with Alliance,” said Colantone, whose first-period goal tied the game at 2.
